2 podiums a lachine
Félix a su garder son maillot jaune finissant tous juste deuxième au sprint finale par une demi roue. Le même scénario pour les minimes avec Shawn Turcotte se faisant coiffé par une demi roue pour la deuxième marche du podium. Un deuxième podium consécutif pour Shawn qui s'améliore de semaine en semaine. Tous les coureurs ont très bien rouler, tous participant au devant des pelotons.//// Felix is widening the gap for the yellow jersey , finishing second at he sprint by half a wheel. A second podium in a row for Shawn Turcotte also getting caught and passed by half a wheel at the sprint. All the racers riding very strong at the front of the pelotons, getting stronger week to week.
Ottawa Bicycle Club Grand Prix
L'équipe de la Nouvelle-Zélande était trop forte à Gatineau dans des conditions horribles. Cette équipe a controlé la course du début à la fin pour mettre leurs cinq coureurs dans les dix premiers, incluant la victoire. Pour Véloselect, Alejandro a tout essayé en chassant deux coureurs pour faire partie de l'échappée de quatre. Malheureusement, il s'est fait rattraper au dernier tour pour finalement finir en onzième position. Une autre très belle prestation pour notre coureur du mexique. //// The New Zealand team too strong in Gatineau under horrible weather conditions. They controlled the race from beginning to end putting their five rider in the top ten including the win. For Véloselect Alejandro bridged to take part in a four man break , only to get caught on the last lap finishing in eleventh position . Another strong race from our Mexican rider.
Véloselect en Abitibi
Pour la semaine du 20 au 26 juillet, 4 coureurs de l'équipe Junior Véloselect seront présents lors du tour de l'Abitibi. Pierre-Yves Aubin , Trevor Dickenson , Alejandro Gomez et Trevor Damen participeront à cet évènement cycliste en support à d'autres équipes. Pour suivre leurs exploits vous n'avez qu'à consulter quotidiennement ce blog, nous vous donnerons des informations régulièrement. //// For the week of july 20 to july 26 the junior racing team will have 4 riders representing our club at the Tour of Abitibi. Pierre-Yves Aubin , Trevor Dickenson , Alejandro Gomez and Trevor Damen will be merged with other teams. Follow the blog to stay updated on their exploits.
Deux Podiums au GP Quebec
Une bonne journée pour l'équipe au GP Québec dans la course des juniors/seniors3. Alejandro a mené un échappé de 4 coureurs après la première montée jusqu'à mi-course, mais malheureusement 2 d'entres eux n'ont pas été capable de tenir le rythme. Lorsque le peleton les ont rattrapé, Czeslaw est parti avec 2 autres pour terminer la course bon deuxième, premier chez les seniors 3. Alejandro a attaqué à la dernière montée pour terminer cinquième au général et troisième chez les juniors. //// A good day for the team at the GP Quebec in the junior/senior 3 race. Alejandro led a four man break after the first climb up to mid race when 2 of the riders couldn't keep the pace. When the pack caught the groupe Czeslaw broke away with 2 riders to finish 2nd overall and first in senior 3 . Alejandro attacked on the final climd to finish 5 th overall and 3rd for the juniors.
Un nouveau maillot pour véloselect
Une autre excellente performance de Alejandro à Mercier. Lors de cette 6 ième étape, Alejandro a gagné un sprint intermédiaire et a fini juste derrière Martin Roseboom pour la deuxième place sur le podium. Ce qui lui permettra, lors de la prochaine étape, de revêtir le maillot noir pour le meilleur junior / senior 3. Un bon travail d'équipe, puisque tous les juniors ont travaillé fort, ce qui a permis a Alejandro de faire des points à tous les sprints.//// Another excellent performance from Alejandro in Mercier. During the 6th stage he managed a sprint win and a second place podium finish. He will be wearing the black jersey , bnest junior / senior 3 at the next race . A good team performance with all the riders working for the sprints and podium finish.
Première victoire
Première victoire à Lachine pour Félix. Cette victoire lui a permis de distancer son plus proche rival et de garder le maillot jaune. Dans la catégorie minime, une très belle performance de Shawn Turcotte qui s'est insérer dans l'échappé composé des trois meneurs finissant quatrième.//// Top step on the podium for Felix. This first place permits him to distance his closest rival and keep the yellow jersey. In the minime categorie Shawn Turcotte jumped into the break group with the three top riders to finish fourth for his best placement this year. 
Une première à Lachine
Chez les jeunes, une autre spectaculaire échappée a eu lieu. Simon-Pierre Gauthier (Espoirs Laval), Félix-Côté Bouvette et David Onsow ont terminé dans l’ordre après avoir pris un tour complet au reste du peloton, une première dans l'histoire des Lachines avec une moyenne de 44.2 km/h. Félix Bouvette demeure en jaune devant Onsow et Gauthier. Czeslaw conserve également son maillot bleu dans des conditions de course difficiles.//// In the cadet category with a spectacular break , Simon-Pierre Gauthier (Espoirs Laval), Félix-Côté Bouvette and David Onsow in this order finished the race after lapping the reste of the field , a first in Lachine history with an average of 44.2 km/h. Felix conserving his yellow jersey.
